Gallery Hyundai is pleased to announce its representation of Jin Han Lee. Jin Han Lee (b. 1982) is an artist based in Seoul and London. Lee describes the painting as "a space where the artist's personal language collides with the universal language", a medium through which she captures a myriad of experiences and thoughts that cannot be expressed fully in language alone. Lee utilizes mediums such as oil and spray paint to build up layers of colorful, rough but delicate brushstrokes, moving between abstraction and figuration, two-dimensionality and three-dimensionality, hence suggesting a a new method of painting. 갤러리현대는 이진한 작가와 함께 합니다. 서울과 런던을 기반으로 활동하는 이진한 (1982년생) 작가는 회화를 “사적 언어가 세상의 언어와 충돌하는 공간”이라고 설명하며, 언어만으로는 표현하는데 한계가 있는 수많은 경험과 사고를 회화로 포착합니다. 작가는 유화, 스프레이 페인트 등과 같은 매체를 활용하면서 화려하고 거칠면서 섬세한 붓질로 레이어를 쌓아가며 추상과 구상, 2차원과 3차원 사이를 오가며 새로운 회화의 방식을 제안합니다. 그의 새로운 작품을 갤러리현대의 화랑미술제 부스 B67에서 감상하세요!
